so it was brought to my attention that my blog titles were too emo. i guess i could agree, but they are just song lyrics from people i’ve been listening to at the time i post it. no other meaning than that.

with that out of the way, what a fuckin week. busy one but it was so much fun. here’s how it went.

monday:
hank III at the belly up. got to meet em before the show and got my guitar signed. i think i’m gonna start doing that with more band i meet. it’s an old beat up acoustic i never use so might as well put it to good use. the show fucking ruled. the cops wanted to shut it down for what happened the day before but they didn’t. hahaha. damn stuck up city officials can’t deal with some foul language and good times.

tuesday:
early morning which was tough. sold about 550 copies of the new AFI album in about an hour and a half. that was damn crazy. the rest of the day was spent pretty much outside getting the people organize and ready for the signing that night. the band was getting there at 5:30 but a bunch of the fans stuck around all day in the parking lot. AFI and their entire group of people they had with em were super cool. All really nice and what not. after i got off work megan took me to dinner at todays. was good to see her and to get some things cleared up.

wednsday:
pretty normal day. nice to have one day that was just chill. that is until i got off work and got home. i put together a lou’s email to let everyone know that we had tickets to give away for the x-fest and who we had coming by our booth to do signings.

thursday:
worked on the reverend horton heat website all day. i had not really worked too much on the site in a while. was nice to take my time and do some things i don’t get to do with the lou’s site. also really nice to get to work for a band that i love. it’s a little more special if you wanna put it that way. it’s not like a real job i guess you can say. went to el zarape with jordan and elvia, came home and watched some tv. i forget what we watched though.

friday:
worked the x-fest. got there about noon, helped set up the booth and get everything ready. doors opened at 3 and we had franz ferdinand do a signing at 3:30. those guys are really cool. not big headed rock stars like some band we had come by. with exception of one band i enjoyed having them there. the one band wasn’t so bad but they were just big headed even though they only have one album out. let’s see where they are next year. busy but fun day. had to leave early cause thee corsairs had a show at the ken that night. we played really well and everyone was in a good mood. was an ok turn out but not as big as we thought. ohh well. we still rocked the fuck out.

saturday:
worked. had alexi murdoch do an instore. if you have not heard of him check em out. sounds like nick drake. really cool guy and great music. we got his cd on sale at lou’s so come by and pick it up. at 5:30 i got a call from pdx asking, “when are you coming home?” awwww. he had the bbq set up, beers in the fridge, elvia made some onion dip, jordan had the stanley cup finals on the tv in high-def. i fuckin love my friends and family. it’s great to just be able to site around and watch tv and just chill. was also a nice change of pace to sit and relax after the busy week.

sunday:
worked then did nothing once i got home.

vegas in a few weeks. can’t wait for that. chilling in the pool with a drink in my hand and a bunch of friends with me. anything better than that? i think not.
