No, i didn’t wear green yesterday…

hello to everyone out there on the internets. i hope this finds you all in happy times. Things are going great here. Feeling really good both mentally and physically. times are good. Can’t wait to play live again on the 30th. Looking forward to hanging out with friends for Chon Chon’s birthday.

I should be getting everything we need for the cool little promotion we’ll be doing for our album that comes out soon. No solid release date just yet but when we do you’ll know. I’m getting really jazzed about it. Noticed there is one little spelling error on the album but you know what, who cares. It will be even more limited because of that. Just wait in 30 years people are going to be wanting it even more. hahaha. A man can dream can’t he? Only thing bumming me out right now is the fact we can’t really go on tour to support the album. Would love to take a few weeks off and really hit the west coast and do lots of shows. Just not in our cards right now.

Just picked up this new release called “Stax 50th Anniversary Collection. It’s a bunch of hits from the Stax label from the 60s and 70s. Great stuff. Also got the new Turbonegro song off the net and i can’t wait for the album to come out and for them to go on tour. You know i’ll be at at least 2 of the shows here in so cal. that is if they even do 2 in so cal which i don’t see why they wouldn’t. Speaking of Turbonegro i wanna go back to Disneyland soon. It’s been a while since i last went there. You may be asking why Turbonegro reminded me of Disneyland well that’s cause last time i saw them we went to Disneyland before the show. haha.

I got a lot to ramble on about but i’m not gonna bore ya. fuck that, here it goes.

I got the new Pearl Jam fan club 7″. I’m a little bummed now that i didn’t go see them last time they were in town. It was on my birthday and i had tickets and everything. I think i just ended up staying at home and drank some beer and chilled. This year i think i wanna go to Vegas. After all it is going to be 7/7/7 on my birthday so i might just get lucky. As long as i get to spend it with friends it doesn’t matter what i do.

Saw 300 the other day. Good movie. Going to LA for like 4 day in April for the CIMS convention. That should be lots of fun but i don’t really like being in LA for that long. We’re staying at the Hyatt on Sunset so if any of you wanna come out and party with me while i’m up there just let me know. I think we get there the 18th then come home the evening of the 21st or the morning of the 22nd.

Brother and sister in law are looking at houses right now. Hope they find something they like cause they rule and they need to have a house of their own. yes i’ll still be living with em but i would much rather spend money on rent when it’s helping them pay for the place. Don’t get me wrong the land lords we have now kick ass, but you know what i mean. I dropped off this “painting” i got at Disneyland to get stretched. It’s the pirate map that they now have in the Pirates Of The Caribbean ride. It’s fucking rad. It’s on canvas so it looks like a painting. Next time you’re over at my place i’ll have to show you it. It’s bad ass.

ok, i think that’s everything that’s running through my head right now. Don’t forget ladies, everything goes better with a little bit of Grease. ;-)

Hidden treasures in San Diego…

Posted in Music on March 1st, 2007 by Drewvis - No Comments

Promotion of the week (month? year?): For Thee Corsairs‘ upcoming limited-edition picture disc, Tales of Rum & Whiskey, Britain’s Inka Records has kept with the album artwork’s pirate theme and printed up a limited number of “gold dubloon” buttons, which will be attached to “treasure maps.” These will be put into bottles and placed in mounds of sand in various locations in England and San Diego. The person who finds a button will get a free copy of the album and bragging rights. Clues can be found on the label’s website. www.inkainc.com.
