After may years of playing Thee Corsairs, I’ve now started a new project with Corsairs drummer Big Daddy Mascaras and our good buddy Chon Chon. If you saw the last two Corsairs shows you saw Chon Chon filling in on bass for the absent Rex. Those were the last two Corsairs shows, EVER. I know they say “never say never” but I’m saying it now. Corsairs are done for good. That ship has sailed and I’m done with it. The new band, as you can tell by the image, is called The Fink Bombs. All the artwork and such was done by Chon Chon, who also decided on the name, and he also did a lot of the Corsairs artwork towards the end. The name comes from a drink at one of our favorite places to drink in Las Vegas, Frankie’s Tiki Room. We’re going for the whole 60′s garage/soul sound even more so than Thee Corsairs were. I’m looking forward to getting this project off the ground. We’re playing our first show at The Casbah opening for Southern Culture On The Skids on Saturday September 18th. It’s an early show so come down and give us some support.

I wanna be known as the dude who punched Morrissey, for no other reason than just to be known as the guy who punched Morrissey. It’s like the dude who punched Danzig, he’ll forever be know as the dude who punched Danzig. I have no ill will against Morrissey and respect the fact he’s influenced and is loved by so many people the world over, But I’d still do it just to say I did. As everyone I know can tell you, I’m not violent in any manner. I’d never really punch Morrissey if given the chance. I’d probably shake his hand and say it was good to meet em and move on.
