vegas on thursday. can’t wait. i really need 3 days of relaxing at a pool.

drinks tonight at my place and no, you’re not invited

it’s sunday night and that means time for me to post another blog so i can remember what i did this week even though there isn’t really any exciting shit going on in my life now that i never go out.

Saturday:
Drove out to vegas. You already knew about that though. Had such a fucking good time that i had to write about it again. Kick ass show if i do say so myself. I love vegas and can’t wait to go back and rock that city once again. I love my band cause we all know how to have a good time and we really don’t give a fuck. as long as we have fun it shows and people have fun along with us.

Sunday:
drive home kinda sucked. we made it back in good time and made it back kinda early. let us have some time to shower and chill before hitting the sack. i think the best part about the drive home is i descovered my new favorite drink. it’s coca-cola blak. if you haven’t had it try it. you might think it sounds nasty but it’s not. it’s basically coca-cola with coffee in it. so damn good.

Monday:
returned the rental van then i had to go to work. work is getting really weird. i think we’re all going insane due to the fact that we’re short handed and nothing is being done about it. Jamie and myself are having to switch shifts and what not to make sure every night is covered. i think i closed every night this week with the exception of tuesday and thursday. thursday was my day off so that doesn’t really count. don’t get me wrong, i don’t mind closing, but it’s just getting crazy. having to multi task your muti tasking is kinda hard. it’s like everyone has ADD and me actuially having ADD, i never get anything done unless i write it down and check things off as i go.

Tuesday:
not bad. slow at work and pretty easy day. was going to dj but i was busy after work with website stuff. had to make sure i had all my stuff caught up from missing a few days due to vegas as well as get everything ready for me being gone for 5 days at the end of this week. i went and got the most killer hair cut after work. you should see me now. i’m all hot and shit.

Wednesday:
had to close again.was so damn hot at work too. don’t really remember much of this day. it’s all starting to blur.

Thursday:
day off… or was it? i spent all day working on the lou’s website and email. once the evening rolled around i decided i needed to enjoy some of my day off and relax. needless to say i ended up playing WOW for a few hours and having some pretty stiff drinks. i slepped so damn good that night.

Friday:
planned on waking up and doing some laundry and cleaning my room but spent it re doing the lou’s email and working on the website. yeah i got some money because of that, but i still didn’t get to enjoy my morning. had to work at 1:30 and the day went by pretty damn well. i don’t know if you ever go to the pannikin in encinitas at all, but the gals that work there are the best. it’s always a nice break in the day to go get a iced late and shoot the shit with them. On top of that i got the new pearl jam album. it fucking rules. that and a t-shirt promoting the album.

Saturday:
closed once again at work. the good thing, Pearl Jam listening party. We played the EPK and the new album all the way through. had a bunch of people from the ten club come by to check it out. was fun talking to a bunch of dedicated pearl jam fans about their experiences with the band and shows and such. again, big thanks goes out to petra, danielle and jane at the pannikin. they keep me awake almost every day with their fancy ass drinks.

Sunday:
i nearly snapped and went crazy today. not only was it a little busy but we got a bunch of stuff stolen from the store. i hate that more than anything. it’s one thing to rip off best buy or something like that cause they make their shit up so much and rip people off they deserve it. A mom and pop store can’t afford to have stuff stolen. if fuckers keep doing that the stores will go out of business and you’re fucked buddy. you’ll have to pay $20 for a cd that only costs like $3 to make. the stress at work is crazy some days and chill majority of the time. when i got home i fixed the lou’s podcast and got another list of songs together for my next one. i think i’ll post it next week on my way out to minneapolis.

that’s it for now. i know there is wrong spellings all over this thing but i could care less. you get the idea. this coming week i’ll be gone from wednsday till sunday. i’ll have internet access i do believe, but if not you’ll hear all about the trip.

So, this weekend was the much talked about PARTY BUS. At least that’s what we all thought. At like 1pm on friday i get a call saying the bus broke down and there was not a replacement bus for us. That left me like 4 hours to find another bus. That never happened cause all the bus companies were booked. Go to plan B, find a couple 15 seat passanger vans and drive everyone out there in a little less of a party bus environment. That didn’t happen either. Plan C, find any way to get the 2 bands out to vegas for the show. Got a mini van for Thee Corsairs, the Spots drove out in their truck and about half the people that were going to go on the bus decided to drive out there anyways.

Left oceanside at 5:30 saturday evening and pulled into vegas just before 10pm. Checked into our hotel room all the way on the other side of vegas. Took about 15 minutes to drive from the Double Down to our hotel. haha. Anyway, we head over to the double down and the place is packed. Reminds me a lot of the Zombie Loungs just a bit bigger, filled with smoke and slot machines. We played to a really good sized crowd and rocked as best we could. Jupiter Shifter, a band from Vegas, played before us. You need to check them out cause they fucking rule. After us was the spots and of course they ripped it up as well.

After the show we went to the Hard Rock for a bit. Saw a dude getting a hand job in one of the walkways to the parking garage. Guess at 5 in the morning anything WILL happen in Vegas. Drove around for a bit trying to find somewhere to eat then it just cape to the point where we had to hit the sack and get some sleep. On the way back to the room the sun was coming up. Weird seeing it go down then come back up again. Got about 4 hours sleep with no food and made a b line to circus circus for the breakfast buffet.

Played a little bit of craps then we got back in the van and made our way back to SD. such a good weekend. Had a blast and thank you to everyone who drove out there to see us. It’s much appreciated. The topper of the evening was i got to see Thee Corsairs name in lights in vegas. One more thing i can cross off my list of things to do in my life.

from now i’ll be in Vegas with my brother, elvia, erica and my bestest friend ever PDX. Why, cause it’s PDX’s birthday. have not seen that guy in a while and i can’t wait to get to vegas. gonna be so damn fun. And PDX, i know you’re readin this and i just got to say, WARP CORE BREACH!!

Last few weeks have been pretty kick ass. figured it would of been pretty crazy and had lots going on, but everything went off without a hitch. swami show was great. casbah show… ehh ok. ken club show, even better. Christmas, good times for sure. RHH show at HOB fucking kick ass. NYE, probably the best i’ve had and was the first one i got a midnight kiss. If the last week of 2005 shows me how 2006 is going to be, i’m verry happy. Hope everyone else had just as much fun as i had.

ps. from what i hear we got a very good write up at HOB so hopefully we’ll be playing there again soon. would love to play there any time.

just got back from vegas. good times for sure. won $140 on one push of the button on penny star wars. then last night before leaving i won another $150 on craps. I wanna go again. who’s with me.

tomorrow, TURBONEGRO and disneyland. this last week has kicked ass.

where the fuck has this year gone? i guess it is true when they say “time flies when you’re having fun” cause i’m haveing a blast and time is moving along.

first off, thee corsairs are doing way more now than i expected we would be doing after a year off. first we play the fair, then we play all these shows including house parties. then when i think things are calming down a bit we get added to the Reverend Horton heat show at House Of Blues. good things it’s like 4 months away. what will happen with thee corsairs after the year is done? have no clue but i can only imagine it’s going to get a little out of control.

work, it’s been bumpy at times but you know what? i wouldn’t change it for the world. i’m so glad i’m back at lou’s and around music. i’ve met some pretty interesting people (ie. braincutters) and had some good things happen. got to meet jack johnson, interpol, jimmy eat world and some others too. i fucking love that job and would do anything for it.

friends, got lots of new ones and lost lots of old ones. there are a few people i would love to spend more time with, but it’s hard to do when we’re all so busy.

the rest of 2005 is gonna be fun. looking forward to all the good times, people i meet and of course NYE in Vegas once again. You ready PDX?

so, vegas pretty much ruled as it should. i had the best company in the world and we destroyed vegas. so much fun and i can’t wait to do it again. i’m a bit tired now but who cares. it was like 116 degrees when we were out there but it made everything much more interesting. much pool time, table time, food and of course drinks. i love my friends, they are the best ever.

I’m getting old in a few weeks. So I’m going to Vegas with my bestest friends in the whole world, Jordan, Elvia and Spencer. July 13th-15th we’ll be in vegas. I’m gonna be coming back with a nice tan and a pocket full of money. See you all there bitches.

2004 is over and a new year has begun. vegas was crazy and ohh such a good time. i set a new record for myself as far as how much i could drink in one day. only in vegas. met a new friend who rules and is the best once you get her to open up. i used to be that way. that’s one thing i learned to do in 04. hope to see her again on tuesday at the whistle stop. things are damn good for me right now. i love all my friends, feel bad for the ones that no longer wanna hang out for me and also love everything in general. vegas made me a very content person.

anyways, here’s too 2005 and the great times ahead of us.

ps. spencer (pdx) is the best person ever. if you don’t know em you should and if you’ve no longer know em… that’s your own damn fault. dude is my family and you ever mess with em you got to deal with me as well. wicked.

i’ll be in Vegas drunk out of my mind. to all my current friends, may 2005 bring you joy. to all my past friends, too bad things didn’t work out. i did all i could to keep in touch, but didn’t get the same in return. maybe one day we’ll be friends again.

2004 was a fun, but disappointing year. i just hope 05 gets things a moving quickly. here’s too new loves, new friends, new music and new memories.
